Installing USB port

Hello All,

I bought a 2011 LS model that didn't come with the USB port. I'd like to install one. I'm having trouble finding info about it.

Has anyone purchased/installed the USB cable?

I think you want the personal device interface module. There are vendors on this site that sell these GM products. GMpartshouse.com is one. Here is one fom eBay. This should give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Good luck!

^^^ Agreed. You can purchase the PDIM and install the hardware yourself. However, you will need to have your radio reprogrammed by a dealer so that the radio can recognize the new hardware. Dealer should not charge more than $100 for programming
