Trifecta Tune : Must Read

So i know everyone is always asking about the legitimacy of the "transparency mode" the tune has to offer. Well here is my story.

Somehow managed to blow the engine, it completely locked up and wouldnt turn over. Luckily was making noise before hand so i took it to my guy at Bad News Racing, Jerry, and he tuned it back to stock. After one week of looking it over, and me completely on edge , they were unable to read that it was tuned and have already put the order in the for the 7,000.00 engine. THANK GOD.

Just hope that sums up the fear about the transparency mode feature.

So you modded your car, blew it up and now its on GM to fit the bill. Sounds fair

I agree with Bill, if you are going to tune it and it blows, you should pay to play.

except the blow had Nothing to do with the mod. had to do with a moron doing the oil change.

People wonder why I do 99% of my own work. Sorry some idiot cost you an engine.

S3XPanther 07-27-2012 04:57 AM

That's all the V6 costs or is that just GM's price to the dealer? Either way, that's not TOO bad I guess if you were on your own for this one.

S3XPanther 07-27-2012 05:00 AM

And who the hell did your oil change? Isn't it super easy to do on the V6 anyway? I mean the filter is right off to the side. Just seems highly improbable that the guy doing your oil change was the root cause.

Chrisco22 07-29-2012 02:52 AM

well that was the cause . and who did it? a Chevy dealership of course. but hey, if you know better than them i guess you should tell me whats wrong with the car "doc"
