Installed my big 3 bolt-ons.

Finally have and installed what I thought are the big 3 mods for the LFX.

Cold Air Inductions, black powder coated CAI, the VMAX LFX Ported TB, and the RX Catch-Can painted IOM.

Out with the old...

Nice! Go and drive, and then post your thoughts on it all:pop2:

Went for a drive. The TB didn't bring up the speed from 2nd gear like I thought it would. But the sound of that CAI is beautiful!

I'm quite happy!

Like they said along time ago with Scholhouse Rock. 3 is magic number. Yes, I'm showing my age but WTH. Enjoy your beginning to a long road of mods.

I had the throttle body for 2 weeks before the CAI and I noticed some improvements but nothing earth shattering. The CAI definitely masks the subtle differences. Cant get tired of the new sound though!

Haha besides summer rims and using these steelies for winter tires I'm probably done modding.

I have my 68 SS and my other show car taking my fun money lol

What about an MRT V2.....then IPF blower?

ChibiBlackSheep 06-15-2013 04:18 PM

Haha maybe next year on the exhaust. I like the sound of stock right now, I just don't like how large they are.

I am on the fence for the VMAX LFX Ported TB... How does that work? Do you send in your TB and they send you one that has been cleaned and polished? I noticed a $200 recharge fee on their site... is that what is held until you send them your old one?

ChibiBlackSheep 06-15-2013 05:49 PM

You can either send yours in first and save $200 up-front, or you can order it for $350 and just return your stock TB within 10 business days and get $200 back.

Honestly it was such an easy thing to do, it's definitely worth it.

If you send in "yours" did they give you an estimate on how long it would take for the turn around time from door to door?

Thanks for choosing Cold Air Inductions Inc.! Glad to hear you are enjoying your CAI and that it is providing noticeable performance differences that you can actually hear and feel!
