tire time already for my ZL-1, almost 10k mile

anyone else nearing the 10k mile mark or needing tires soon? ive got almost 8k miles and im about to do a 1000 mile trip. im thinking this will be almost the end for the first set of tires and really ive been easy on them. if anyone is in my position then what tires are you thinking about putting back on?

If you want to stay with you stock sizing the Goodyears are your best bet IMO. the michelin PS2's are good tires as well but cost more and I don't think they will handle better or last longer.

oddly enough in this size these tires are "affordable" ha ha.

I've looked for stock ZL1 sizes in other manufacturers websites recently and came up with no match for a set. It appears Goodyear and Michelin are the only ones in the OE sizes.

And it looks like Goodyear is the least expensive ...

10K miles... that's it...:iono:

I've already replaced both right side tires for road hazard incidents... but didn't expect to replace the other two at 10K... I'm at 5k now and they still look new.

How much is a set of replacement tires?

joes407 08-15-2012 07:12 PM

ive seen them as low as $535 per tire

has anyone thought about putting tires on the wheels that are not oe size?

Might as well put on some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Tires from the ZR1
