The old card-in-the-spokes trick: BMW Active Sound Design
Seems that the BMW M drivers are not fans for Active Sound Design

Public: I like the sport BMW but it sounds a little wimpy. :(
BMW:  We need to make our cars sound like muscle cars! Public: Thats a great idea! An exhaust will help performance and sound! :happyanim: BMW: No... even better... we'll make the radio play the sound of a Camaro so that when you drive it it sounds like a real sports car. Public:  Are you stupid? Ill just buy a Camaro. :rolling5thgen: CHEVY... THERES ONLY ONE! :chevy: this should be a commercial   |

Yup, thats a terrible idea. Still though, I would happily take an M5. One of those would absolutely spank my camaro. Amazing car.

Wow that's a cheesy idea, especially from BMW. Hopefully it can be disabled. It seems Ford had a better idea of piping the air intake into the cabin to add sound on the Mustang. I haven't heard anyone complain about it on the stang forums. At least it can be disconnected. Apparently, the Mutang is too quiet and not enough engine noise gets through.

I am going to put that in my Camaro ASAP!!!
