Has your perception changed of the V6 Camaro??
Mine certainly has. I don't even think you can compare it with the fleet happy V6 Stang, more like 350Z levels of performance/handling here. At this point I'd say I'm perfectly fine opting for a V6 Camaro not even thinking about the 8, which I'm sure is nice, but you truly get the best of all worlds with the 6 cylinder; high tech engine, great fuel economy, top shelf performance and probably a more well sorted car in the weight department. None of the above describes anything close to a secretaries car in my humble but frank opinion.

I will seriously have to consider getting the V6-M6 convertible over the LS3 if the cost is very different. I think I could actually be content with this V6.
And to me, the real priority is the convertible...at least it is now that the V6 has such performance potential. I'm terribly excited about it. |
Well, I was planning on getting the V6 since, well, forever. I knew from the beginning there was no way I'd be able to afford the payments on the v8 - much less the insurance. With that said, the more I find out about the v6, the more I like. But, I do like the v8 fog light/lower grill arrangement more than that of the v6 - especially if it comes with the now departed hood scoop. Maybe I could arrange a swap with somebody who buys a silver v8. I'm still getting the v6 either way.

yea my opinion got better, now that I know you can get an V6 RS I'm all over that. plus the lower cost means I have more left over for accessories!

I like everything about the V6. It is worthy of serious consideration. I've liked it from the beginning, and now it might be my final choice.

The V6 as a LT/RS keeps calling me out, so yeah... my preception has changed to save some cash and get me one of these. We'll see but the V6 hit me from left field. :seesaw:

V6 RS is going to be just nice as my first car (yea it will be my first car im only 15) . does any one know when the prices will be released
|
who needs a V-8 when you can buy a V-6 and costamize it
|
before i was dead set on V8, now im almost positive im getting v6 rs, i like my bells and whistles. :)

I'm getting the car for the power. I don't want to beat competition, I want to smoke it. I knew the V6 would be VERY respectable in comparison to class competition so I wasn't suprised much. If I wasn't deadset on a v8 (always wanted the burble), I'd be getting a fully loaded v6.
|
I'm still a big fan of the V6. I don't want one. However, you can't help but be excited about a NA V6 that performs close to base V8's

I've always said I would get the V8 but I'm not getting rid of my 98'. We recently found out my wife is Prego with our 2nd so I'm REALLY torn. I guess I need to think about if I really need three V8 vehicles with todays gas prices. But if I can't get that ambient lighting in the V6....:bellyroll: :bellyroll:

I've never had a negative opinion of V6 Camaro's. I've owned 2 V6's ('91 RS and '02 Coupe) and loved them both.
But I've been saying all along that I wanted the V8 this time around. I haven't owned a V8 since my first car ('82 Berlinetta) 16 years ago. So I think it's time to get back to where I started. lol That, and I need to overcompensate after driving around in a 103hp Aveo for 4 years prior to getting the new Camaro. |
