Agreed. For the expected $60-70k, I would certainly hope for something a little more aesthetically pleasing than a strip of plastic screwed on the back of the spoiler!!! But other than that.....IT ROCKS!!! :headbang: Doesn't really matter.....I can't afford one anyway!!!!

Deftones 11-05-2013 01:04 PM

Wow...

Maybe they could but i guarantee it would weigh more and what are they trying to do with this car? Provide function with minimum weight.

That is the adjustable wickerbill. I'm pretty sure it's optional.

davidcroft 11-05-2013 06:52 PM

I'm not a big fan of ricer wings, extra lights or badges. Both of my 5th gens have been subtle and clean, but I actually like that spoiler. I'm still trying to figure out a way to swindle my ass into a Z/28:bow:

That paint job out of this world! It looks like water . I bet that's prolly the best paint job ever from GM. No flaws. I wonder if the one ppl buy will have as incredible paint job as this one. Either way 61,000 is a steal. Still...

KaBoom1701 11-05-2013 09:20 PM

Love the color!

Best GM paint job ever was on the original Hot Wheels Concept Camaro.

LOWDOWN 11-05-2013 10:05 PM

BTW, folks, it looks even BETTER in person!

It's functional... When you see it in person, it looks just fine. Remember every part on the Z/28 is there for a reason.

I saw it in person - It's not "fine" - it looks like a cheap afterthought IMO. i mean you have to DRILL into the spoiler to install the thing.

But it does provide 50 pounds of downforce - so I guess there's that.

You won't be seeing one for sale at $61,000 - just as a heads up.

tramtwo 11-05-2013 11:13 PM

Bad ass for sure! Rear spoiler.... because racecar!!

its a syn 11-05-2013 11:13 PM

I like the rear painted diffuser. I mean the top part of it. I suppose it's technically called the bumper cover

Well that's your opinion RJ... :der: And are you talking about the Camoed Z at the fest that was not finished?

The Z I rode in had this additional spoiler and it looked great. Take a look at any functional race car and you will see these types of spoilers everywhere. Remember the Z has an additional 450 lbs of down force at 150 MPH over the SS. :thumb:

No - I'm talking about this Z/28 Camaro:

Attachment 572093

Like I said - it's functional, I'm not arguing that. Just looks like an after thought in my opinion.

Just like you said - it's my ":der:" opinion

Not officially no, but I know a guy who knows a guy who talked to a guy ;)

motorhead 11-05-2013 11:52 PM

That car looks so good with the rear cover painted body color. Every 2014 should have had that treatment and then GM would have nailed it.
