Will this car ever be collectible?
How many of you think this camaro will become a valuable collectible if so how long?
Depends on how many actually sell. If the laws stay normal I think it would take about 30 years to be collectable or when the laws become so strict that we are all driving Hydrogen cars.
20-30 years, yes.
in a LONG time, maybe. these aren't cars like the 60's cars that had their charms. You don't see the value of 3rd gens going up, and those are in the 20-30 year range.
I think your going to have to look into the 50+ year range for them to be in collector status, if ever. |
cars are not investments. If the general dies, then sooner than later. blah blah

How many people still have those cabbage patch kids and Beanie Baby's in the closet? The Prowler did it because of the low production numbers. |
Well the question is, Why would you want this beast to sit around and collect dust?
Gen 1 vipers are starting to go up, but they are very low production!
i thnk someday.. yes. depends on what options you got, how many are made, etc.
if gm did go under or even stoped producing their preformance division i think the value would increase based on the fact it would be not as common, maybe rare. . . last of its kind. |
After 25 years and if it's mint with low mileage yes. Also depends on the rarity of model and option.
The cobalt SS makes up for 3% of the entire production. Doesn't mean it will ever be collectible
Keep anything long enough and it will one day be collectible, but not in our lifetime will it be worth much.
Like 2nd gen and early 3rd right now are going up if in great shape.
This is going to be the last big high HP muscle car made. Get one take care of it and never get rid of it. That makes it collectable. Better than salt and pepper shakers or shot glasses. lol
