Spoiler

This is probably a dumb question, but.....If you don't order the high spoiler, does it come with a spoiler at all???
2SS/RS

headpunter 11-26-2008 03:42 PM

wlvrine 11-26-2008 03:48 PM

:coolpics:Thanks for the pic..Now do I have to order from the dealer pre delivery of my car or Can I wait till it gets here. I have aggravated my sales person:mad0259: about abm color till last week... He is probably tired of me. Now I am thinking of changing the color to red with white racing stripes. The car in the picture is nice.

The Dale Jr SEMA concept has the blade spoiler. The GS racer SEMA concept has a blade spoiler that's close.

Aye COT (car of tomorrow) style. I think it's sharp.

I'm getting the blade spoiler. I saw an early 70s Trans Am with a blade spoiler a couple weeks ago. It just fits the Camaro/Trans-Am perfectly.

There's a difference between the Dale Jr. Concept and the GS Racecar spoilers? :\

We need some clarification on which spoiler is which. Its obvious in all pics what the "standard spoiler" is with the SS (or even RS?). However...there are two other spoilers in the other pictures.
The first one I thought was considered at "high spoiler"...and very similar to the 78-80 type Z28s and Trans Ams and is pictured on the orange car previous to this post.
The second type I thought was considered the "blade spoiler" and looks more like something from a ricer and as if it should be a part of the ground effects package.
So which is available...and what is each labeled as on the order form? And will the "high spoiler" fit in the existing drilled holes of the deck lid?
Previous posts indicate that the "blade spoiler" will not fit into the existing holes from the SS spoiler. That point is pretty clear.
If the prices on the "high spoiler" from GM are rediculous I'm sure it wont take the aftermarket long to produce the same thing at a much lower price.

The blade spoiler IS the 2nd-gen Camaro-style spoiler. The high-rise spoiler is the rather distasteful one (at least I think it is) at the very top of this page. It's exactly what it's described as: a pedestal wing.

The blade spoiler is indeed the one I shopped into my sig car. Most enthusiasts are actually hoping for a more pronounced version of the stock spoiler that would be a three-piece extending past the trunk lid to replicate the lip spoilers of the first-gens. I am opting for the Blade Spoiler since it reminds me of the 2nd-gen Camaro spoiler which in turn reminds me of the 2nd-gen Trans Am spoiler: my favorite spoiler on any car, any where, of any generation.
