anyone else having problems with "allocation"?......saw my local guy (and a few others).....can't get a ZL 1......huh?

I'm on board with the ZL1, the BOSS, the Porsche and maybe the GT-R but the rest....I just don't see it, and that charger STR-8 front end is awful...looks like a large-mouth bass!

At least the large mouth bass has a reason for having a grill that big. That big plastic catastrophe is god awful. Not that I would expect anything less from Dodge design studios.......

gm rep was at my dealer when i ordered mine # QDHQG4. the only one they were getting. the only one within 100 mi. so they say. could not order til 1-26-12 . dealer told me rep said it would one of the first three built....hows that possible when i see many ordered much earlier than i ordered mine....Black with black forged 10 spoke aluminium wheels , exposed weave carbon fiber insert, sun roof , auto 6 ....event code 1100 ..order accepted... trading my 2ss.. now they say they have offers for 75,000 .... stock # is in my last name...gave them $...they cant sell it out from under me can they as my MSRP is 60,485

Welcome to C5..:wave: Yours definitely won't be in the first batch built or you would already have a VIN number. Also the first ones don't get the CF insert... but the good news is it sounds like your allocation came up on 1/26 and the order went in. Stop by www.gmconnects.com and track your order....

Uh actually the first DOSP did infact get the exposed CF insert. It was the second DOSP that did not and now GM is on the third DOSP according to FBOD's op on this thread. Maybe he wasn't picked up until the third DOSP.

I have been on the fence about ordering one. I at first was first on the list in WA State for picking up one of these and reading this, it is making me itch for one. But being that the Cobra will have 650hp for 2013 and we are seeing sports cars upping the specs in the next year or two, I really hope that GM ups the power in the ZL1 which is holding me back. And now that my tax return is pending to deposit into my bank account, I am highly tempted to walk into the dealer today and order me one of these. But also I have been looking at trading the SS in for a gas saver since now I bought a house further from work. Plus if I were to get a car that saves me in gas that is more for the wife, she would be all for me getting another sports car next year. Maybe even the GT-R which I was eyeing just a few weeks ago. Hm...what to do what to do.

Dude may not have seen that the high end 911s, such as the Turbo, don't hold their value at all. They have dropped like a rock over the last few years.
