Long story short hfc are failing looking for a test pipe that may look like a hfc any more know of a place.

Did you have solo hfc? I hear ARH is suppose to be coming out with some quality hfc I think some one on here will be receiving them with about a week if you can wait that long

I can't say for sure, but I don't know if ARH is doing anything for the LLT engine, you may call them? They have developed both a high flow catted set of pipes, and an uncatted set of pipes for the LFX.

Gut your current cats. Easiest way to achieve what you're asking.

Trying to avoid gutting hfc don't want to increase rasp.

DSX_Camaro 07-30-2014 05:09 PM

I don't think gutting the cats will increase the rasp... But then, gutting the cats and using true test pipes will have the same sound effect, never mind if the test pipes were worse.

gutted my SOLO HFC, and it sounds great

Interesting so let me think a two 2.5 exhaust pipe is the same as a gutted cat? I think that as far as exhaust flow that incorrect statement. The sound may be the same but the flow is a different matter. Instead of using a piece of exhaust pipe I need the impression a that cats are on the car for inspections.

Thank all found it

I've seen some pictures of a gutted cat setup in the v8 section once... The guy actually welded the shell of the stock cats to a new exhaust tube, it looked factory, but was straight through. Would probably pass visual, but I doubt it would pass the sniffer test.

Sorry. Don't believe you said flow was an issue.

Its all good. And I didn't my fault. The more I thought about the effects of the turbo the more I realize that gutting a cat is breaking up the flow of the exhaust.

LOL- that Allflow is the prettiest non-cat I've ever seen!

Better grab that while you can- test pipes are frowned upon by you-know-who! Also speaking from experience (OK, it was 30yrs ago...) test pipes don't tend to last long, so plan accordingly.

I've been strongly considering Kooks Green Cats. Any feedback on those particular to the LLT with FI?
