Um, 1LS, there is no such thing. There is a LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1LT/RS and a 2LT/RS. N

1LS is a standard, 2LS is an auto. If my memory serves me correctly...

I thought 2ls also got better fuel economy? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

PoorMansCamaro 06-23-2011 09:11 PM

i believe the gear ratio is different in one of them. that's why the better fuel economy

cyberLS 06-23-2011 09:16 PM

i thought that started in 2012 not the 2011's yet not sure tho

mrandmrsninja nailed it. the mpg difference is because of the tranny. it was a mid model year change.

2011 LS with a manual. I see 36 mpg going to/ from work (at 55 mph, 25 mpg overall average) and it still throws you back in the seat and pulls hard all the way to triple digits and beyond. Smooth riding, tight handling, quiet riding, and a great thumping sound system. A FANTASTIC deal for being a $20k car.

I only have a couple complaints with the LS compared to the other models. The fog light plugs look like....well plugs (*fog lamps arent needed with the beam pattern of the low beams, but the lack of the fogs just looks awkward aesthetically), the lack of leather on the shifter knob, and the lack of a lip spoiler. All are easily fixed of course.
