Painting Calipers this Weekend, but Question

Wondering if the 'Roller Blades' that are on the front calipers can be remove without causing any issues, or am I stuck with them for now?
Do most people paint them, or leave them out?

Also, using the red G2, and all videos showed applying several coats, drying and moving on. I have some VHT clear seal, and wonder if applying this over the G@ once it dries is OK.

Thx

The "roller blades" are part of the brake pads, not the calipers. Don't paint them.

You are also pretty close to Mike the powder coater. You might want to consider powder coating instead.

If I did go with Mike and powdercoated, wondering which color would be best. I have the BRM color, but painting them this color my look good close-up, but look black from a distance. So anyone else with BRM and have done their calipers, which color did you go with (pics if possible)

Personally I think Red is kind of a Brembo standard look to me. My neighbor has a black Z06 with red Brembos and they look sick. I've also helped a friend change out a set of metalic blue that Mike did for a Gray and it looked awesome as well.

Regarding your question of VHT Clear Coat, if you plan to apply decals/stickers to the caliper after painting, then I would clear over the stickers to keep them from peeling off.

I used all VHT spray products on my RED PAINTED CALIPERS. DIY here:
