Hurst Factory Shifter Replacement
My Camaro came with the Hurst Short Throw Shifter from the factory. I would like to replace the stock looking shifter rod with the more classic looking chrome one with a replacable ball. Does anybody know any part numbers that will work. I looked on the hurst web site and they say that the rods will only work with aftermarket shift kits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to go with one of these.

You can't just replace the stick and ball. You will have to buy the aftermarket Hurst if you want to do that.

There's a post somewhere on here where more than one guy tapped and threaded his factory shifter post to allow for different handles-without removing it from the car!
Try a few searches, it was a good "how to", if I remember correctly. |

I'm looking at the opposite, I have the standard shifter, want to go Hurst Short Throw, but want it looking as stock as possible, so DO want the hurst tagged shifter. Anyone know the part no. for that? The parts guys was questionable in knowing what I was looking for.
Thanks |

Does anyone have the Stock Shift Knob with the Hurst emblem for sale? If so, I am interested in purchasing it. Or does anyone know a part number for it?
