K&N CAI, Stainless Works Headers and Tune

Just picked her up after the headers and tune and it pulled 401. Baseline was 371 but the K&N CAI was already on it so I'm happy!

LS3 or L99 ?

At 401 with those mods, I'm betting LS3

How much would 400 to the wheels be at the crank

Tim417 05-02-2015 11:10 PM

Estimating a 20% driveline loss due to the auto tranny, around 500bhp.

Homeless Man 05-02-2015 11:34 PM

Usually when someone says like out at the store my car makes 300hp for example are they talking about crank or to the wheels

On a stock car most people are talking about crank because they never dyno their car, and people like to brag about higher horsepower. On a modded car most people talk about HP at the wheels.

I agree...for ages people just used crank hp as a reference....not rwhp.

i have about the same setup as you and got 401, probably could have gotten better numbers with some better gas...

Blutob2 05-03-2015 05:03 PM

Yes LS3 and RWHP. I wonder about the gas too. I usually fill up at a 7/11 or Costco every now and then. Everything here is 91 with 10% ethanol.
