adding C&C to 1SS
 

Since I don't want leather, I have to get a 1ss. hate the fact that there is no C&C option. But if I get the BA sound system, the radio will be the same in the 2ss and 1ss then (guessing) so has anyone opened up the dash to see if its a simple usb plug in?
I know that I would also have to get a 2ss steering wheel for $299, for the controls and bluetooth.
This seems like it could work...

I would like to add the USB function to my future 1SS. I don't use any bluetooth device so I don't need the steering wheel for it. Does anyone know if a USB cable can be plugged into the back of the Radio Unit?

unless there is a separate module that plugs into the BA stereo to give it the steering wheel controls and bluetooth im guess its already in there just not connected and turned on.

Chances are though its a separate module. I think it will eventually be able to be done someone just needs to take it out and see what the differences are.

I'm actually trying to get someone with a 1SS and someone with a 2SS to test a theory that would let you have the C&C connectivity in the lower trims. If you want to be involved, post here.

you guys should have just bought a 2SS if you wanted C&C and the BA system. You'd have the sought after 4 pack guages and if you hated the leather you could probably swap them with a 1SS guy down the road who wanted to have leather after the fact.
