ZL1 Fuel Pump in 2010 SS?

Has anyone installed the new ZL1 pump into their 2010-2012 SS? I have heard it is a simple drop in and go if you need higher fuel flow/pressure.

I have a 2010 SS with the Maggie, Kooks 17/8 long tubes and the overdrive cog. I would like to get the fuel flow up from the stock pump and the ZL1 pump looks like a cost effective approach.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

direct replacement. just gotta drop the tank and switch it out. Looks exactly like the stock tank as well.

I'm running one with a similar setup and have zero fuel pressure issues. Great upgrade!

Do you actually have to drop the tank. Someone said that there is an access panel under the back seat that allows you to access from above without dropping the tank.

Currently I am at 505 WHP and the 52 lb injectors that came with the Maggie. I just ant to get my AFR to the high 11 maabe 12 at WOT.

Unless things have changed, the whole rear cradle has to come down to get to the tank, so
You can drop that as well. I paid 4 hours of labor for it AND they didn't charge me to do the pfadt drag 1 package since it was all coming down at the same time anyway

My next move is a fuel pump. Currently running stock with a BAP. Pressure drops to 48psi at 7.5 pounds of boost. Before I pulley down I want to make sure it's getting more fuel.

I figure a ZL1 pump AND my BAP will be good insurance.

How much is a ZL1 pump? I'll drop the tank myself.

No access door.... Pumps are direct replacement and they have been used for a while now. I actually had one in my car over a year ago before you could even buy one from gm.

Cut a hole under the rear seat pan. Takes 20 minutes. Don't drop the cradle.

Don't cut a hole in your car, drop the cradle.

Less than $300. I'm making 650 to the wheels with zero pressure problems.

No BAP?

Do you know what your fuel pressure actually is at WOT?

I just got mine a few weeks ago. I have a Edelbrock supercharger and I'm dropping down to a 3" pulley so I also got Edelbrock 60# injectors. I was told to get the ZL1 pump. I was told I should be around 540-560 RWHP. I will find out this spring.. I will not be cutting a hole in my Camaro. Holy shit!!!

If I'm dropping the cradle anyways and plan future FI, any reason I can't put the zl1 pump in now?

Would a tune have to happen if no other changes made/ gains were desired at this point?
If required, what for/what would the tuner adjust- lower voltage to the pump?

What's the max it will support -if going beyon zl1 pwr numbers?

Still learning.

Thanks

No tune needed. I don't think anyone has found the max limit yet. I have one with a BAP and its fine at 630 rwhp. Hoping for around 670 next time.
