Borla ATAK + Longtube headers?
 

Hey guys, I hear this is a wicked loud setup, which I wouldnt mind from the outside, but I googled the heck out of it, no videos of this setup from the inside. Can someone with this setup take a small video or something from the inside of the car? Just curious as to what it sounds like.

I just took a ride in one, the inside wasn't as bad as I thought but we never got on it, just cruised locally.

Ill have an answer for you in about a week. I ordered the atak to go with my headers. But I ordered the axleback so I'm thinking about keeping the stock ls3 resonaters in place to quiet it down a bit.

You read my mind. I was about to post the same question. I just spent the better part of 3 hours searching for this info. I currently have the Borla Atak catback with the stock manifolds and it sounds great, not too loud and no drone. I am thinking of getting the ARH long tubes with hi-flow cats and wonder how loud that would be. But more importantly is their cabin drone with this setup?

2x3" catless LT ARH's plus axle back borla ATAK.

This was pretune with a light launch...with the tune it sounds better, and a little louder.
Now that it's winter here, I couldn't get you another video. lol.

Cruising, you can tell it's beefy, but it's not loud. Once you tap the gas, rev it, or get on it, it's LOUD.

Yeah, I'll have to take a video next summer. Sorry about that, didn't read your thread fully. :D

Like I said though, it sounds beefy from the inside of the car. You can tell that there's work done to it. The Idle is pretty nice too, Ive been asked if it was cammed before lol. If you want it to sound even louder from the inside, just pull your back seats down.

But...it's nothing compared to how loud it is from the outside.

Is it a bitch to converse while you're going 60 to 80 on the Freeway? lol

No, not at all. But you can diffidently hear the car. You can play music and/or have a conversation without it being bother sum.

I put the Borla Touring on with my LT headers and I think it sounds great. Throaty under throttle and idle, but I can hear my music and carry on a conversation when cruising.
But too loud to one person is not too loud to another.

I think it's absolutely fantastic that I can barely see the car in the distance but I can hear it clear as day! F*CKIN AWESOME:headbang::headbang::headbang:

I know what I want for Christmas now.

I have the ARH catless with the Borla Atak and the in cabin noise at 60-80 cruise is def loud but not unbearable. I only take my car out on the weekends I will try and get a video Friday or Saturday!

i have the ARH long tubes, high flow cats and the ATAK. sounds great at WOT, down the hwy I think it's terrible. if you are crusing roughly 1800 to 2k rpms I find the drone to be awful, just my personal opinion.

Do you have the LS3 or L99?
