Procharger runs out of air

Just a headsup to procharger guys.
I've been running a procharger since aug 09 and have been building the motor around it since then. After all the mods i found that the stock procharger inlet filter would collapse at 550rwhp and my tuner removed it and went to 575rwhp so i had them put a bigger one on. This filter required removal of the stock brackets on the inner fender so if you want stock configuration read no further. It did give me 25 more rwhp with the install of the duece fuel pump from fastlane. Without it or simular larger filter you will be held up.

looks good.

good info.. wonder if anyother superchargers have that problem?
and people wondered why i put a big filter on my last car..

Although you'll always benefit from a larger filter you should not have had collapsing issues. We've built multiple 2010 Camaros making 500-650rwhp and all of them still run the ProCharger filter. This is the first instance I've heard of. Glad you got an easy fix for it though.

+1 I'm running a slightly smaller air filter and she's running 774 at the wheels with no issues

What is the part number on that filter?

Jason@RPM-Motorsports 04-06-2011 08:06 AM

This is the first I have heard also. We have done several over 700 rwhp and one that made 950 rwhp with a F1A and had no problem with the filter setup from Procharger.

I have about 700 to the wheels on a f-1 and have had no problems. Suggest you look into a larger intake, the supercharger likes more area to force air into, I have a fast 102

Yup tried to use the big cone filter but the blower closed it shut at WOT on the dyno so had to make my own filter and intake system for it
