Meet and Greet in Charlotte NC Area.

To all the Camaro owners in the Charlotte NC area. Lets organize a local meet and greet. Lets see how many camaro's we can get together and go for a local drive or something. Let's shoot for the May or June time frame.

Any intrest out there????? If we get enough interested might even be able to form a new car club???

Please go to the calandar link and add yourself if you will be attending. Thanks
Robert

Hell yeah man.........I live in Charlotte. Mid May or June is a great time. Isn't the all-star race 2nd or 3rd weekend at Lowe's Speedway? Maybe we can do a group outing to that. Take up a whole block of parking space with the Camaro's :)

LMS sounds like a great idea. We'll need to begin some scouting and such. I live in Shelby, so can we lean on some of those that live in Charlotte to do some of the leg work there???

Throw out any ideas you may have for dates, times etc. lets see where the dart falls.

Sounds like a good idea. I don't really know Charlotte too well, aside from the major things like NASCAR and the sports teams.

We need some locals who know the local automotive atmosphere pretty well. Some connections with CMPD and eateries will help too.

I have only lived here 2.5 years now, so I don't know much about this town :)

There is a Cars and Coffee Event the first Saturday of every month at the Panera Bread Parking lot off exit 18 off I-77 the first saturday of every month. I have seen up to 300 cars attend depending on the weather. There is a wide range of car from lambos, porches, mini coopers, etc. Here is the link to February's event (it has been moved do to the weather) http://www.carsandcoffee.info/forum/...ad.php?t=20180

The Cars and Coffee event that I spoke of above is held outside of the Panera Bread I manage. I have connections with the CMPD so everyone is left alone at these events. Come join the party! I imagine next weekend will be a smaller event (maybe only 100 cars) if its cold. Hopefully by March everyone will be itching to get their cars out again. I should (fingers crossed) have my baby by then.

Sweet. Sounds like things will start to come together. I have an Idea I'd like to try.

Picture a group of Camaro's driving down the 85 or 77 in the shape of the Chevy Bowtie" It can be done!!! We'll have to alert the local media to be on the look out for it.

That is really cool........if I am not picking up my car that weekend. I will make sure to stop by :)

By the calander that would be either May 1st or June 5th. Which date sounds better.
I'd vote for June 5th.

Lets start a vote for the date>>>>>........

FYI the Bowtie Idea would look something like this....

.......<><>...........
...<><><><><>.....
<><><><><>......
.......<><>...........

The lead car (indicated in red) sets the pace. All other drivers align themselves to the car on their right or left (respectively) A dry run set up in a parking lot will allow for the (visual picture) that will be used to align yourself off of the adjacent vehicle.
This sets up spacing and the (comfort zone).

What do you all think????? By this set up it will take 14 vehicles to make it work.
