Best CAI-Exhuast Combo for max RWHP?

I didn't want to hijack the 500RWHP thread.

For now my plans are exhaust the ARH Long tube system, maybe adding a back half, but if the back half flows fine with the ARH header cat/back system I may leave it.

Vararam intake when it shows.

3.90 or 4.10 gears when they show.

Hurst aftermarket 40% shifter when it shows.

I don't want to mess with the PCM for now, and don't want to toy with the engine for a while.

Hoping for 400-420 RWHP, but dynod at 359 RWHP and think that CAI and exhaust grabbing 41+ RWHP might be a little pie in the sky untuned.

My thinking may be wrong but I don't see the CAI+exhaust add's to be a highly cumulative effect on RWHP.

You can make 41 rwhp with intake, headers, high flow cats and a tune.

But you need a tune with long tube headers.

I figured, I am reluctant to have the PCM messed with but figure I will end up caving as I plan to go with the ARH long tube system.

I would put on the ARH system...then an axle-back for sound...then either the New Era intake, or the Roto-Fab depending on you taste....Then I would do a laptop based tune so you can switch back and forth from stock for warranty reasons.

I would expect 50RWHP from those Mods.

I would be happy to help with pricing and ordering if you decide to.

would you mind explaining a laptop based tune? I wrench but its all on old school stuff, (no PCM's)

Basically it is a wire that plugs in from your laptop to your car...then with a special program you gain download a new PCM tune into your car! When you want to change it you just plug back in and download the stock tune back in. There will be a lot of tunes available, such as:
stock
CAI
CAI + Long Tubes, etc...

and you will be able to switch back and forth, or upgrade when you change the car or mods in the future. Very easy to use.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the PCM tune runs around $600.

600 would be at the high end of the ball park...But remember this tuning setup will allow you to change many times, as well as do a custom tune.
