Need help with a flash drive

I have a small flash drive for songs in my Camaro. I tried copying music files from itunes but they will not play. I looked and they are m4a files. I have a small amount of music in windows media player and those play as they are mp3's. Is there an easy way to get the files from itunes to my flash drive so I can play them?

M4A files are DRM protected and would need to be ripped prior to them playing in the car.

In English, those files have special copywrite protection that would need to be removed for them to work.

Is there any way to get them from itunes or should I just rip all the CD to the flash drive? What would be the best free software to use?

YEP, I had to do this a while back.....but in itunes, you can now rip them as MP3's then put them on your flashdrive.
