how to remove automatic shift knob
 
My buddy has an SS with the auto trans and he wants to know how to get the shift knob off of the auto. does anybody know?

I'd like to know as well, I saw a Chrome Handle for the Auto for sell.

there is a small plastic plug that covers a screw that you have to remove, it's at the base of the handle, below the button you press to shift out of park. It will be easier to see if you have it shifted into "M"

Also be careful removing it, there will be some linkage going through the handle for the button....
