New 1LE! / Intake Noise with K&N Normal?

I just got my 1LE on 7/3. It's my second car ever and my first car that has any decent power to it ('89 Caprice w/305 is the other). Maybe I'm just paranoid about this sound, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I pulled the dual mode exhaust fuse and added a K&N 63 series intake. I'm noticing an odd noise if I just blip the throttle in neutral. It sounds like it could be normal...maybe just the intake creating a large vacuum that I couldn't hear with stock filter on. The K&N made the exhaust louder, so I'm guessing that it made this noise louder and now I can hear it.

Does anybody else have an intake that will make a sound that you couldn't hear before you added it? Is it normal?

Yes.

Normal.

It's sound like its your new intake, when you push the gas it's sounds like a vacuum right, if so that is normal most all aftermarket intakes do this, if u open your hood and have someone press the gas and stand next to the intake you will hear it, I like the sound lol hopes this helps you out

That's what I thought it might be but I couldn't be sure. Nobody here to hit the gas for me and I've never had a car with an intake. Thanks for confirming this is normal.

No problem! Glad I could help out, when you get the chance tho, you should try it, sounds so good lol plus you get to hear your car rev up

That's exactly how it sounds.

By the way, what parts are grease-able on these (joints, differential, etc)? The dealer said he wasn't sure, but thought they were all sealed.
