Some Jackshaft Housing Castings are made differently in sizes and do vary, as to what the smallest pulley you can use without maching. The smallest size recommended is 2.80", without any machining performed on the jackshaft housing casting area *** Remember - Above Boost Increases are Fully Dependant Upon proper Tuning and Modifications, to prevent any and all Knock Retard associated with using Smaller Supercharger Pulleys or Pulley Units! |

Actually that's not exactly accurate information...,
At lower boost levels the gain is 1lb of boost per .2 of an inch dropped off the pulley size. At higher levels it does get closer to 1lb gained per .1.... Sent from my amazing and awesome iPhone4 |

I assume not one customer is going to order a pulley, going off of the 1lb per 0.2 of an inch calculations at low boost though. When ordering pulleys we usually use the WOT boost & The 1lb per 0.1 rule as it is pretty much a standard... The information is based upon WOT... Hence the info and the pulley sizes that someone would want to use when ordering. 3.4 with LT's @ 8.0 PSI WOT

So what would be a guesstimate?
Long tubes, mild cam, TVS 2300, 3.6", and 5,280' in altitude. No boost gauge as of yet. 60 lb/hr injectors were at 40% duty cycle. Might be able to pulley down safely? Stock fuel pump, 91 octane. |
great info... thanks for sharing...
CAN WE MAKE THIS A STICKY? |

So i am thinking 4 1/2 to 5 lbs. Gauges are my next step ( boost - WB
- fuel pres. ) Then suspension, stall, gears, smaller pullies, more fuel, better cooling. etc, etc. DOES IT EVER STOP!!! |

Generally pulley sizes are referred to as .1 being each size...except in the case of the 3.5 since we don't make that one. I know I have read this exact information somewhere else... either pulleyboys or ebay. But I don't recall where
But I also don't think anyone actually sees a 2lb boost drop with headers...MAYBE a cam & headers. |
