Compared to what? There are many V8's (Camaro's included) that wish they could break into the 13's in the 1/4 mile.

If you feel that way you should have paid out more money and got a SS... geesh i don't understand why anyone would buy one of these V6 Camaros then complain about not enough horsepower.. didn't you know what you were getting before you bought it?

No, it doesn't have enough power. its only faster than old cars

What a shock, CamaroFreako making a negative post about the V6. Don't you get tired of saying the same thing over and over?

It has plenty of power for a V6. If you want more that is what the V8's are for.

That's mostly do to weight. It's spec'ed as 332hp and 276ftlb which isn't much more than what we have, the biggest difference is 1. it weighs 3,269 2. it has a carbon fiber drive shaft, and 3. gearing, the manual has a 6-speed with a 3.69 ratio and the automatic is a 7-speed with a 3.35 ratio.

I've driven the 370Z that thing flies, but it can be matched by our V6 with some mods. The stock 370z 1/4 ET is 13.36. I'm pretty sure ROD1's best NA time is pretty damn close to that. With a carbon fiber drive shaft and better gears our V6's would be ripping mid 13's pretty easily...

Demon hunter hit the nail on the head. If our V6ers weighed only that much and had lower gearing we'd be eating up the 2010 and lower mustang GTs and biting on the heals of the current SS and mustang GT, and probably beating them at times.

Bring on 2014 and the new gen 6 Camaro! lol (course, I don't really expect even it to weigh less than 3,500 for the lightest model)

That does not make sense. it is like saying :

"It is right."

"And wrong."

The right reply would be

"No it isn't fun, it actually boring."
