Ran fastest - 13.38
 

So I ran the fastest yet today, a 13.38 but unfortunately I let out as I was beating the guy way too much for comfort - so it would have run faster, maybe a 13.30 :iono:

Anyway - next run (10 minutes in between) 13.98 - now for the good part - the engine temp for my runs


13.38 - engine temp in pit lanes: 165 - engine temp on line before launch: 185
13.98 - engine temp in pit lanes: 212 - engine temp on line before launch: 225 :confused0068:


I am working to cool down my engine by removing the engine cover and getting a 160 degree thermostat as I am not comfortable with an idle temp of 225!

However, I don't know what else to do. I am thinking of trying to get my fans changed so they come on earlier as well. Electric water pump is out of the question, can't risk it for any possible long trips.


So - I ran a boat load this weekend, and to give some averages here are my line ups with temps for consistent launches (60 ft times, outside temp and humidity, etc.):
