Bleeding the Brakes

I have a 12 LT/RS I just ordered the Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines & RBF 600 fluid. I am not up on the ABS, after I change the lines can I due the brake bleed the old fashion way? Would this cause an issue with the ABS? Thanks for all the information in advance.:iono:

Just don't leave the calipers/lines disconnected for a long time and bleed right after and you won't have any issues.

If your worried about the ABS all you have to do when you get it all put back together is find a place to make the ABS come on to get the new fluid in the ABS pump, for my there was still snow on the driveway so it was easy to make the ABS kick in.

I tried to get the ABS to cycle to get it's reservoirs to push the DOT3 out and get the new DOT 4 in there. In the end I took it to the dealer. They can run a computer program to force the ABS to cycle. I had them bleed more DOT 4 through the system to get the old DOT 3 out.

It cost a bit more, but the DOT 3 is now gone.

You can do it the old fashion way. Then after the initial bleed, do like the above posters said and get the ABS to pulse to bleed that system. After that, another quick bleed and you're done!
