through your dealer

Tell your dealer to log into chevylaunch.com with their Business Associate Code and go to 2010 camaro section then to the ditribution portion of the camaro main page. It tells them their production number.

:bs: It has nothing to do with Mustang sales. Allocation is based on 2002 Camaro sales.

I'm sorry, you are incorrect. It has nothing to do with 2002 Camaro sales.

2010 Camaro Production Guide

Below you will see your estimated Camaro production guide. It was developed based on two factors: (1) on your Chevrolet retail sales (both cars and trucks) over the twelve months ending August 2008; and (2) Mustang registrations for the twelve months ending June 2008 in your DMA.

Wouldn't it make sense if they are looking to see if you sold more Chevy's than Mustangs? Why would you reward a dealer that would sell more Mustangs with allocations of the Camaro? Just curious. :iono:

I dont understand it either if there are alot of mustangs in your area dont you think that just means that all the sales for a pony car are mostly gone?

Its not the dealers sales of mustangs, its the demographic of the area. If there are many people with mustangs in an area, the desire for these vehicles is higher. Going off of sales from 2002 would be very inaccurate, as both the types of people living in an area and the size and sales of dealerships may have changed dramatically.

Its a hard thing to gauge regional interest, but I think this is a decent way of going about it. We'll see how it plays out.

Keep in mind this is a guide number, or estimate. There is much more information on this early order cycle, but I don't have "authority" to post it up at this time. (nor do I want to be a dice roller)

Don't let it dissapoint you - this is just one step of many many more to come.

TX - that is a good number though. Glad a forum buddy got it!

I'm going off of an earlier fbodfather quote.

The information you are citing have to do with the overall production number, which is correct. Production is based on Mustang sales and previous modle year retail sales. Individual dealer allocation is based on that dealership's Camaro sales in 2002.
