New Camaro Need New Rims!!

I'm 16 years old and just got my first car. I got the 2013 2LS Camaro in black. I need help deciding what rims to get to replace the ugly heritage wheels! I prefer black, as I'm also blacking the emblems to go for an all black look.

Go to the Wheels & Tires part of this message board. You'll get all kinds of ideas.

If you want the hertige ones to look better pull off those ugly silver plastic rings. Just grab them and pull straight off. They are easy to put back on too. I did this when my wife still had her 2LS.

I've tried that but it kinda looks like I'm rolling around on some spares. I may take them off and plastidip them a certain color before I can acquire some new rims.

I have the same car, same color, and I've been looking for 6 months for something I like. The choices are endless - good luck to you and enjoy your first car! Mine was a 1968 2 door Volvo - 70 raging horses under the three-colored hood!

Check the vendor section.

I don't know why everyone hates the Heritage wheels so much. To me they are the closest looking thing to an original rally. I love them.

I have to agree. Though I am not complaining. The more everyone takes them off the more I stand out ;)

JLuke,

Congrats on the new ride! Getting a date for prom, if you're still in high school, shouldn't be a problem now. :thumb:

I don't mind them that much, I think new wheels can make the car look much cooler

Congrats on the Camaro! May want to look into purchasing a set of 20" SS/RS rims. It may be your cheapest option. Not to mention, they are a nice looking wheel IMO.

Congrats on your new ride...
Modding you car is going to be a process filled with sooo many choices....
I knew what I wanted my ride for a daily driver as well as looking really good.
I had the steelies with the trim rings because #1 I bought them (gonna get my $ worth) #2 they didn't look bad on the car. I also knew, after many hrs looking at the wheel/tire section on here, that the wheels I wanted would look awesome. So I saved for them.... turned out that my vision of clean & wicked came true with a body kit & 20's. But it didn't look bad with the Steelies and a body kit....
My advice is to find the wheels that go in your idea for your car, enjoy that your in a Camaro and get the wheels you'll be happy with, when the time is right.....

Depends on what color your car is. Mine is Summit White so the rings look pretty nice in silver on the black rims. :thumb:

@Michael what body kit is that? Do you have a link?

I would say get a pair of stock 19" that look like mini RS wheels or find a pie of RS wheels that a member is getting rid of. They are usually very cheap and look awesome on the car for the price. I have a 1LS and I plasti dipped a set of 19" aluminum wheels, slapped them on, and it's been like a whole different car.

All depends on how much you can spend. If on a budget go for the upgraded stock wheels. Best bang for your buck IMO

In my opinion, the SLP gloss black 20" wheels are one of the best looking black wheels around. I like the machined lips and ridges on the spokes. Breaks up the black some and matches the center caps perfectly.

Go to tirerack.com; they have all kinds of wheels. That's where I got the wheels for my wife's Camaro.
