TC/ESC comparisons

did a quick search to answer below question.....no luck ( I think)

I get the PTM/MR/TC differences the ZL-1 comes with (and off the 'Vette); does that mean you cannot tune the SS TC/ESC (M6) to be more 'aware' of increased HP/TQ when you add blower, etc, to the SS? Or there is no way to get a ZL-1 like capability?

Traction Control and Stability Control are different features. Traction Control modulates torque/power to rear to allow for max acceleration out of a corner. Stability control modulates brakes (primarily) to keep the car inline.

tracking...(no pun intended..)
aside from killing tq mgmt; are either wise (doable) adjustments to accommodate blowers on SS models

or more specifically....how far off is SS from the ZL1 settings?

I haven't heard of people being able to tune in power to the TC/Stabilitrac systems...I have read they've turned the torque-management down quite a bit....

The magic of the ZL1's chassis control is the PTM software; which is a separate system that makes use of the TC, Stabilitrac, and MR systems in harmony to keep the driver in complete control. Since PTM is not available on an SS, I don't think there is any way to get that same level of computer control. :iono:

kinda as I feared....

may just have to kidnap...er..I mean...borrow...a GM Engineer and 'accommodate' him in my garage with some 'high quality' bread and water to sort it out!! :paddle:

Thx for the feedback...I guess re-training the foot will be my best bet...

last thought.....is TC and/or ESC able to compensate for blower TQ/HP increases?
