Billet wheels.
 

Before I decided to make this thread I looked and really didn't find any thread on billet wheels. So if anyone has any billet wheels on there camaro post some pictures. Billet Specialties, Intro wheels, Boyd Coddington, Colorado, Racelines, etc. I know a lot of people don't like putting billet wheels because either they cost to much or are to heavy. Well guys go have at it.

Billet? I dunno what that means, but I have 3 piece forged wheels that are cut on a CNC machine...

Billet material. A material that is forged by a CNC machaine which crates a one piece, two piece or the most popular three piece.

Daflash, checkout this garage of "stefny76"... there selling there billets..... thats the only camaro ive ever seen with billets....,,, there for sale in the MEMBER CLASSIFIEDS also...

It's true, dont see many 5th gen on billets. Everyone wants forged wheels. Billet's remind me of bagged trucks and classic's, not saying the wouldn't look good.

Your right most of the people that have billet wheels are in classic vehicles or bagged and drop trucks but I really think they would look pretty sick on a camaro with a good size lip. There's a couple of them on YouTube and I must say," damn"! Just wanted to see if any one had some on here.

Yeah I saw his wheels for sale on Craigslist. They look pretty sick. So far thats the only one I ever seen. I would go with some thing more simple instead of a twisted design.

I have one piece lightweight monoblock aluminum wheels made from forgings. I guess that they would be considered "billet" because forgings consist of a solid aluminum billet which is pressed between dies creating its basic shape,giving it strength and density before machining.

Guys, the term "billet" just means the wheel components started out as a chunk of forged aluminum. Forged wheels are the same thing as billet wheels. Billet aluminum is forged aluminum. That is the terminology related to the wheel industry. In other industries, the term "billet" simply means that something was created from one solid piece of material.

Good read...I had the concept kinda right... I just would like to see more " billet wheels". Something along the lines of a polish finish... Bonspeed are another brand i forgot to mention.
