Happy new Camaro owner in Virginia
 

Hi everyone. I've been lurking around these forums for a couple of days and enjoying myself. I'm the new owner of a 2011 Camaro 2SS. Hopefully I am posting in the correct section.

Somehow I pulled off the impossible on Friday. I convinced my wife to let me buy a new Camaro. Making it seem even more improbable is that only her name is on the title (my name was on the other three titles) and I traded in my Wrangler and still have my 2008 Nismo. So now I have two manual sports cars that she can't (actually she just doesn't want to learn) drive.

I actually work at a dealership and was always impressed with the Camaros. I've been a sales manager here for the last 6 months (let the bashing begin). I absolutely fell in love with this black Camaro when it came of the truck and started thinking almost immediately of how I could somehow buy it. One week later it's sitting in my driveway because of the generousity of my wife.

No plans right now to do any mods. Maybe in a 4 or 5 months when the weather gets bad and it will be off the road for the most part anyways. I have to say I am also a part of a couple of 350Z forums and it's incredible how awfully self centered and self important those guys are. This forum seems a whole lot more friendly and helpful. Nothing wrong with occasional sarcasm of course, but those 350Z guys can be brutal.

I'm in Texas, but welcome to C5 and congrats on your new ride! I started out slow on the modding, but give it a few months and you'll be hit with 5GMD (5th Gen Mod Disorder) just like me!! Enjoy!!!
