V8 springs
Just replaced my stock.... have a buyer who has a V6. I just want to verify before I put us both through the hassle, will my V8 stock springs fit the V6?
Newbie question, I know, and I apologize... they may even be the exact same springs for all I know. |
+1 great post, brantley... keep up the good work

They'll fit and are a bit lower than the v6 springs and a bit stiffer

What year V6 are you selling to? I know that aftermarket springs had to change for the later model 11 V6's. Might be worth waiting for someone that really knows.

Hurrry brantleyyy lol

Would ride quality suffer by changing only the springs from the V8 to the V6? I am interested in doing this as well to get the stance of the V8, but am unsure if I need to purchase the springs only or if I will need the shocks and the springs. Great thread Brantley.

The combination of SS struts AND SS Springs will drop a V6 1/2 inch. Not sure if the springs by themselves will do it.
About a month ago, I installed the SS struts with Pfadt springs and dropped my V6 1.75". Pfadt advertises their springs at 1.25" so the SS struts make up the other 0.5". I know another V6 owner did a complete SS strut/spring swap and his car dropped 0.5". You do not need to change any other suspension parts when changing the struts or springs. I'm still using my stock V6 sways, end links, etc. Oh, and I love the ride now. |
I guess Jatt will let us know soon if they fit lol
