2012/doomsday....and the camaro... just a thought....

i know we've all heard speculation surrounding the 2012 conspiracies and end of the world scenarios...
:seesaw:

well, i got to thinking about the camaro's role in this.

we've been discussing the Z28 for a while now, and we know it wont hit initial production cus gm wants to make sure they can sell enough of the base and SS models to warrant a top-end performer:paddle: . and then you start thinking about how long it would be (realistically) before a Z28 would be introduced into production... 2010...2011...2012... then i was scrolling thru the threads about the possible motors that would go into it... ls8, lsa, ls9, etc... and how GM:chevy: wont put a more powerful car on the market than the vette right?

then my mind started running scenarios (like it does all the time...it doesnt shut up:mad0259: ) about dooomsday... then about the camaro...then they slowly merged into a new 2012 doomsday prophecy...

HIGHLIGHT BELOW TO SEE....IF YOU DARE

GM WILL INTRODUCE A Z28 CAMARO WITH A MORE POWERFUL MOTOR THAN THE TOP OF THE LINE VETTE AND THE UNIVERSE WILL BE DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUM BUMM BUUUUUUUUUUM

 you heard it here first.

If the Camaro Z28 ever beats a Corvette ZR1, he is saying that the universe will come to an end.

I wouldn't be surprised if the camaro got a more powerful engine. I think the corvette will move in a new direction. Such as, much lighter weight while maintaining power. I think that some, if not all, of the parts from the zo6 that make it light and handle well will become standard on the base vette. Then the zo6 will become even lighter than it is with a more effecient ~500 hp engine (DI). The Camaro will still be a barely sub 2 ton muscle car with 300-550 hp for a reasonable price.

What possible new direction could a flagship borderline supercar go? It competes with the best-designed cars in the world and will likely keep up if not pass many such supercars in the future.

I expect the Corvette to get even more powerful. I doubt that Chevrolet will ever put its best performing engine in anything other than the Corvette.

Instead of making more power and worse gas mileage. Might as well add less weight as they say. Besides, anything with leaf springs is not a "borderline supercar". A super car is a rare exotic.

Please, the ZR1's a supercar however you try to cut it. Regardless of leaf springs...you sound like Jeremy Clarkson.
