Thank goodness, the storm kept my baby inside , as well as a stomach virus. I am looking forward to getting out and about and meetin the peeps.

i've been checking the weather...looking ok for sunday. now the belt parkway is another story.. really chopped up, lots of loose gravel and potholes. I'm considering alternate routes for sunday. maybe a scenic tour through rockaway

I would definitely do something to avoid it as much as possible. The potholes made it like a roadcourse / cone set-up . It was a bit testy avoiding all of the big ones.

Last night I heard rain forcasted for Sunday...I'll wait until Sunday gets closer...they could change the forecast many times by then...
Oh yeah, I think I would like to avoid the Belt Pky if it's as bad or worse than usual...
Let me know what alternate routes there are from LI...thanks!

I hope you're feeling better and sorry for your stomach bug...those are the worst...:(
My baby stayed in the garage all weekend too, didn't want to risk it getting hit by trees or branches or power lines...

from what i've seen it seems really bad west of cross bay blvd. we can exit at cross bay, take that through rockaway to the marine pkwy bridge?? might be best bet. whoever is meeting at macy's..we will figure it out

camaro4mybday 03-15-2010 09:32 PM

as a traveler on the belt every day stayyyyy away its evil, either you are gonna kill the ball joints, bend a rim or chip the hell out of the front facias, there are crators between erskin ave exit and the flatbush ave exit, if you dont mind paying the 4 bucks cut through queens and come over the gill hodges bridge best advise

This weather really messed me up this weekend, I was going to install my exhaust which has been sitting in my garage for over a month. The weather better be nice, I gotta take this car out. And hopefully I can put it on before Sunday if I get some time.

Jarvis59 03-16-2010 09:07 AM

I'm hoping it pours on Sunday so you have to re-schedule cause I can't make it!
Damn Kids! Who know they would demand so much time with their events?
