New photos: Camaro Z28 Testing Against GT500
 

As reported on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

Here are the newest photos of the Camaro Z28 test mule being tested and directly evaluated against a Mustang GT500. :w00t: Not only is this a GT500, but it's a 2011 GT500 with Performance Pack! That means it weighs 3750 with 550hp.

GM is making no secret of the benchmark they are attempting to clear -- the 2010 Ford Mustang GT500. This should help put to rest some doubts as to whether this test mule is indeed the range topping Camaro Z28 model expected to be GM's answer to the Mustang GT500.

the thing I dont understand is why all the badges are covered up? can someone explain that to me?

what I'm most curious about now is what the actual Z/28 badges will look like...I hope they go for something retro.

gonna call the dealership soon and see if they can give me any info, at least put my name on a list to get contacted when this becomes official

Dealerships don't have any information on the Z28 yet. It's all just rumors and speculation for now. The most info is what you are seeing posted on Camaro5.com

Nice to see more and more pics of the Z/28...I do hope the pricing is good when all said and done though...I do worry about that.

Nobody knows for sure what the car is gonna look like. As fars as the badges getting covered up, this is nothing new. They are not ready to release final details. There are still changes that are gonna be made. If they show you now, it may not be what you see when it is released.

LOL - it looks like the driver's getting on it in that second pic'. Great shot of the front brakes and side of the facia. I'm still worried about the Goodyears, though :( I'd have liked to have seen some PS2s :( Oh well, if they're good enough for Corvette, it's not THAT big a deal :D

Nice catch! I looked again and it looks like the SUPERCHARGED emblem from the XLR-V Door.

I wonder if the Z28 is IN the Bowtie, and that is why they are covered up?

That GT500 looks like an old car trying to play catch up with a new peppy Camaro. Can't wait for the Z28.

I'm wondering if the Z28 badge will replace the Bowtie on the rear of the car w/a smaller Z28 on the front grill.

On the one picture of the front right fender the 200mph duct tape is ripping off so its gotta be Fast to do that!:D

I think it says Camaro... Zoom in and look close on one and at the end you can see "RO". This car has random mismatch parts all over it, I doubt there really hiding the new emblems on it. It's just to keep everyone guessing and interested in it.

:word:People on here just TRY and read to much into stuff. I am surprised nobody has said anything about the rounded side markers. That would throw off the lines.

Yes that's the SVT packaged car. Look at the stripes smaller and closer together
means SVT package. Some guys do stripe delete because they want SVT but don't like the new stripes.
