Morepwr 10-23-2009 09:17 PM

Well it definetely has the power to tow!!

Where the hell did he get a hitch for it?

meanmike 10-23-2009 09:20 PM

That is not hard on it at all.

VenomZ302 10-23-2009 09:27 PM

Isn't that the pre-production one? Look at the headlights and the V6ish lower grille.

RoyalKev 10-23-2009 09:53 PM

Yeah it was a pre-production one they were testing.

COBRA CAMANDER 10-23-2009 09:59 PM

What is that in the drivers side window? Oh, my bad, that's just white trash.

daphatgrant 10-23-2009 10:52 PM

With over 400ftlbs of torque there isn't a whole lot of engine strain going on there ;).

Andro 10-23-2009 10:53 PM

Croatcamaro2010 10-23-2009 10:55 PM

Only car would sum it up pretty easily.

mikel441 10-23-2009 11:02 PM

Hey man if you need to move. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! But, I think I would have rented a Penske truck.

Tantalizer43 10-24-2009 10:04 AM

Thats an IVER that GM was testing during development. That is not a production Camaro...

I dont see the issue.. I know when I get one it may end up with a hitch. It will be my only car so if I need to tow anything, Uhaul, Bike Rack, jet ski etc I will only have that one option.
The only issue with towing using a car is usually the frame/body not being up to the job. I dont think the camaro has that issue.

mjlash22 10-24-2009 10:15 AM

I think its more concerning as to why someone would add a hitch onto the camaro...

PQ 10-24-2009 10:23 AM

As has been stated. This pic was taken in like August of 2008. They had their testing equipment and personal stuff in here while they drove for tests.

All-Or-Nothing 10-24-2009 10:25 AM

LMAO @ the replies..............The car was a test mule. Even if it wasn't it would tow that very easily.

PAUL SS 10-24-2009 10:31 AM

Sports cars and trailer hitches = oil and water.

TheCaptain 10-24-2009 10:38 AM

Awwww... because a car, nonetheless a sports car is towing a trailer? Get over yourselves people!

alcstarheel 10-24-2009 10:52 AM

I towed one of those with my 2003 Cavalier. I had no other choice. Fontana handled it like a champ so I'm sure the 'Maro could, pre- or post-production.

TheClassicCarKid 10-24-2009 11:01 AM

when i was moving over the summer I saw an SS being fitted with a hitch at the uhaul place

Alfieboy 10-24-2009 02:08 PM

This is Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Old....

BUT BUT: I wouldnt put a hitch on my camaro.. BUT BUT..

If it was my only car and I needed to move.. or some crazy reason (?)I know it would take it in stride...

LosXC451 10-24-2009 10:12 PM

It has the power to pull a load... but the payload is something like 750lbs.

Eduk8r 10-24-2009 10:24 PM

I towed a ski boat all over the east behind my 71' Nova and never an issue. No reason you can't with the Camaro. To each his own if you want to tow with it go for it.

Gunsmoke 10-24-2009 10:38 PM

funny, but i wouldn't do it though.

You can really tell the difference between the new members and the old ones in this thread. All of us that have been here a while remember when that picture was new.

franknbeans 10-25-2009 10:55 AM

can purchase a hitch right off of ebay.
