does anyone know of a dealer in north central Indiana that wont blow me crap or say that my warranty will be voided for having the hurst factory short throw shifter installed?

The odds are that no one will complain. That's a very mild aftermarket install.

In the Indy area, Hare Chevrolet and Bill Estes Chevrolet are pretty cool with mild mods.

Find a dealer that sells SLP products. Those guys are usually more agreeable on account of them trying to sell you performance parts.
