Pre production model sighted?

Not too long ago there was an article on the homepage about how the radio antenna for the camaro convertible was hidden in the spoiler because they tried mounting it on top of the trunk in pre production models and it looked horrible.

While sitting in the back of the work truck yesterday we passed this on the highway...

does that mean that i ran into a pre production model on the road?:confused0068: or am I crazy:iono:

That is a non RS model. Only the RS has the rear spoiler with the antenna built into it.

I don't get why they don't just make the antenna hidden inside the side mirrors. It's like that on the 'Vette and on the XLR. Antenna on the trunk is just bad.
