Hmmmmmm.......I guess the charge is like this old saying: The quality of work done for nothing is usually equal to the fee." If you really feel it's too expensive, I would suggest you don't have it done. Especially to a brand-new 35K automobile. Of course, you could always get out your masking tape and Krylon rattle-can and do it yourself....what do I care?:iono:

Okay then......

I want that. If i had the money, custom painted stripes would be the way to go.

The only way to go, looks great!

Well, I'm going to have to get a quote before I get my heart set on it. $2,500 is a LOT for stripes going on just the hood and decklid. $500 for materials and $2,000 for prepping and painting, OUCH!!! I don't have even a remote clue as to how long it would take start to finish, but if it took 10 hours, that works out to $200/hr for labor. We're not talking a custom flame job here.

I was hoping closer to $1,000 for the stripes like the factory, well maybe over the spoiler too. I guess I just don't know crap about painting. :bonk::stupid:

Dude, there's not a region in the USA that has a 20.00 hr labor rate ,you guys need to get a clue. The body rates are prob. still half of what you mech. rates are these day!!

Wondering if IOM matches 'Hooter Orange'?

Well for anything over $1000 you can put on 2 sets of stock stripes. When the 1st rock chip hits that big flat hood I will replace the impacted area and not have to repaint the entire hood. Paint is great for a trailer queen but I am putting a lot of driving miles on mine.

Thanks. You explained my point exactly assuming you meant to put $200 instead of $20/hr.

I was just saying that the price seemed way too high considering there's not a whole lot of materials in painting. Just keep in my mind my last sentence too.

My old man's been a body man for ~30 years.... my price for custom stripes = a case of beer :sm0:

not including materials of course...

Stripes look great by the way. Anyone ever notice that the rear stripes are painted wider (spaced apart) on the 69's than the front?
