Skip shift eliminator...

I was wondering if the skip shift eliminator relay from the 98-02 camaro would work on the 5th gen manual? Got a buddy that has one and it's easier to pay him than order and pay shipping for a $20 part... But just curious if this would work???

Sweet. I'll try it and hopefully it will work out...

Yeah my buddy had an 02 SS and used the relay until he got it tuned out. Not able to drop the cash on a tune right now and skip shift is killing me around town. I'm gonna install it as soon as I get it lol.

When you go to pop it in, take a flashlight, a long skinny screwdriver, and a trim tool down with you. Space is real tight down there. There is a wiring harness with a christmas tree retainer pushed into a hole in the trans. You can pop that out with the trim tool, and have a little more access to the Skip Shift connector above it. Then use the long skinny screwdriver to lift the retaining tab on the Skip Shift connector and give it a little tug.

Also let the car cool for a half hour or so, the cats are right there and will fry your arms.

Make sure you put it into the correct plug. The reverse lockout looks just like it as well and fits. That's the easier one to get to. The skip shift is the one closer to the front of the car that is harder to get to.
