100,000 mile extended warranty?
 

Has anyone that choose to get the extended warranty got any letters in the mail saying it is about to run out? Only 35,000 miles on my car and i am positive i got the 100,000/5year warranty

although i wish i wouldnt have got it its not worth it
does anyone know how i could find out that i have it i just want to be sure :rolleyes:

Thats the standard powertrain warranty not an extended one.

So 100 plus 100 = 200?

Here is your base warranty: 3/36 bumper to bumper, 5/100 powertrain. This is if you purchased the car new. If you want to find out if you bought an extended warranty, call the business office at your dealership. I deal with GM warranties for a living so ask me anything you want.

Probably not since your extended warranty overlapped your manufacturer's warranty. Never buy an extended warranty when you buy the car... wait until just before the base warranty expires.

Normally, the warranties that come with the vehicle is a 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty and with that is also a 5 year/100,000 mile PowerTrain Warranty. but yes i did purchase the car new and I am pretty sure I purchased an extended warranty..

Dealerships sometimes sell third party extended warranties as GM warranties, they dont say they are GM, they just dont neccessarily tell you they arent either.

Also some have optional warranties that are possibly better.

Just saying, even if the GM rep comes back saying you dont have a GM extended warranty, you might want to call and check with your dealer just in case.
