Alpine dask kit start up question
 

My HVAC touch screenis not working. I found the reason, but I am confused. I need a video or pictures. I don't understand the 24 and 8 pin instructions. If ou installed you alpine dask kit and w900 s w910 and used the start up method where you sit in you car for five minutes with doors shut please explain the possess to me.

I have the alpine dash kit and the Alpine 910. What exactly does yours do? Mine shows the Alpine logo and takes about 10 seconds to come on then goes to the HVAC controls. Can you post a video of what yours does.

You will need to wait 7 min(I wait 9 mins) then plug in the 24 pin first then the 8 pin in that order. And lose a pound from sweating.

I think you need to take yours in to an installer and have them fix it.

I will make a video when get home, but the scree does not work right when I touch it and I did read about the 24 and 8 pin. Im just confused. So I plug everything in and set in the w910 then I shut the doors wait 10 min or so and then plug in the dash kit to the car? Is that what they are calling 24 and 8 pin the dash kit connectors?

I really can't be too much help, I paid my installer to do it all for me.

Part was defective, order new one got it in today waited 10 minutes, plugged it in all set and ready to go! Thank you to creative audio out of Springfield, MO. They shipped me the part and I shipped the broke one back. No hassle and no questions! Good guys over there!
