ROCK CHIPS...
Has anyone got any ideas.some how I have a problem with rock chips in front of the back wheel .:mad0260:

you can just clear bra that
|
on the side?
|
Yes, you can apply clear bra material anywhere on the car... and the gills are very succeptible to chipping.
|
get a can of touch-up
|
GM Splash guards - they do a great job in protecting the sides. I realize they are not for everyone but it is another option.

How does that gill area get hit with rocks? I know it sticks out, but it seems like that is too far back from the front wheels to get gravel from that far away.
Or is this gravel that is kicked up by cars in lanes next to you? |
How do the splash guards mount? Are they screwed in place or do they use double sided tape? Thanks, Bob

i did the XPEL clear bra on my entire front, you can't even see it.

I think the cars next to you throw it up,it is a long way from the front tire.what ever the reason it has to stop.I saw a car at the detailer that had the clear coating you are talking about .It had been on for a few years was beat with rock chips its self .you could not see the line of the clear coat as much as the diffrence in color .but the clearcoat over time looked bad like chewed plastic.I am still concidering it as I am not sure this is the same,

like everything you got to maintain the clear bra know matter where on the car it's installed.i use a spray called plexus,it a plastic cleaner and polish or you can wax it.that prolong the look
