MTI Racing 454ci 2010 Camaro Build

As featured on Homepage.

:thumbup:There is nothing like big block power, and at MTI Racing who are we to argue.
This project car is called the Johnny Cash car since it is black on black, we figured why not name it after the man in black himself. MTI Racing will be stuffing a killer 454 CUBIC INCH monster with a TVS2300 Supercharger and MTI Racing camshaft with valvetrain upgrade to make this one bad Camaro.

And to make sure the monster can breath we will be adding an MTI Racing cold air induction.

And not to let the suspension feel left out, it will be recieving a full MTI Racing coilover system with our Big Red Swaybars to handle the power and curves. Make sure to stay tuned for further updates.

When you say "big block power" do you mean it's actually a big block motor? What block are we talking about here?

ADM PERFORMANCE 01-18-2010 04:46 PM

paul

HOLY SH*T! THAT'S F***ING AWESOME! :headbang:

lawdogg149 01-18-2010 05:01 PM

Motor starts as a LS7 im pretty sure. photo above shows the 7.0 stamping on the right side of the rear of the motor pic.

bad2000z 01-18-2010 05:07 PM

Please tell me it's getting a 4L80 swap too. I don't think that A6 will last more than a couple weeks with that kind of power.

sspaul 01-18-2010 06:40 PM

thesnoopster 01-18-2010 07:13 PM

camarosss 01-19-2010 04:00 AM

What kind of price are we talking just for the 454 swap without charger?

PNYSLAR 01-19-2010 07:38 AM

:popcorn:Is that the same Camaro you guys had at the Talledaga Camaro FunFest back in Oct? If so it was hot that day, but can't imagine what it will do after this mod:confused0068:

lawdogg149 01-19-2010 08:12 AM

Thats not a LSX block they are iron and also painted orange. Camaro must be a customer's because there shop car doesn't have the orange interior. Someone on here this car belongs to must be just sitting back watching. Very nice build guys. Anyone want to make any guesses on final HP numbers I say 1000 rwhp.

radz28 01-19-2010 09:31 AM

I can't wait to see what that TVS is going to put out :)

No swap to the tranny. We are changing the torque converter and pouring some "secret sauce" on the internals to make it live longer.

We highly doubt that the owner will be drag racing it. Speaking softly and carrying a really, really big stick is the plan.

-MTI Racing secret design, LS7 based 454 small block stroker motor. :)

No, it is not the same Camaro we had at the MTI Racing Camaro Funfest. This Camaro is (will be) a little more violent. Maybe NC-17. :headbang:

I say 850-900hp flywheel on pump gas....no meth. & mild cam. About 900-1000 with meth.

Dave Coyle 01-19-2010 12:43 PM

What is the cost of this monster motor??

ls7camaro 01-19-2010 10:10 PM
