Clunk

When ever I put my car in reverse there is a clunk while I'm moving backwards. Any thoughts to what it could be. It only started this today. I have 1100 miles on my car

I apologize for the dissatisfaction of the noise you may be experiencing. Have you brought it to a dealership for proper diagnosis? They should be able to pinpoint the issue for you.

Please let me know if this was an option for you.

Mine does this too. When I back into my driveway, if I apply the brakes even slightly I hear a good heaf/feel a good CLUNK. Never bothered to take it in because it only happens at very low speeds and only in reverse.

Does it happen only when putting the vehicle into reverse while on an incline.... Backing down hill that is..

For me, yes. Backing downhill, I usually have to slightly engage the brakes and when I do, it clunks once and that's it. I don't know if this would be related to the OP's 1lt, I also don't know if his is an m6 or a6.

There is a service bulletin regarding this issue a lot of cars have this problem. There are also other threads that address the issue. It is a known problem and one you should definitely have checked out. Don't take no as an answer from the dealership, or an I don't know, because as I said there is a service bulletin out.

Thanks Beave, I'll bring it up when I take it in to get my tire monitors re-learned.
