Road and Track: ZL1 10 Spoke Wheels are 1.8 lbs lighter.

According to the GTR vs. ZL1 article.

Ya, I saw that too.

+2. I'm waiting for an announcement from GM though. Everything I'm keeping in the FAQ is from GM. I'm loving the little tidbits the reviewers are adding though. I'd just like an official feature list from GM so I know it's in stone :D

Than the optional chunkies. It sounds like the chunkies are 20-some-odd pounds lighter than SS wheels, so the standard ZL1 wheels are almost 8-pounds lighter than the optional ZL1 wheels.

Interesting, taking that difference, plus my weight loss todate, I will be 123 + - pounds lighter when on the track :sm0: :sm0:

Is it 1.8 per wheel or for all 4 of them combined? If per wheel, that's pretty significant.

It says per wheel.

GearheadSS 02-09-2012 01:09 PM

Well that's good. I think they're the best looking wheel anyway.

Wait, what? So 7.2 pounds lighter than the optional wheel? Wonder if the curb weight is using the optional wheel and sunroof? 2 of which are not options on my car

slick rick 02-09-2012 01:22 PM

So who is selling their 10 spoke wheels?

Is that 1.8 pound wheel difference stated in the print article or in the web article? I didn't see it in the article on the web.
