2013 still for sale

The local dealer has a Crystal Red ZL1 still for sale. From what I remember it has nav, suede pkg, ecf, sunroof, and auto. They still have it listed for 62,755. I am headed home from Afghanistan for a vacation and would like to purchase the zl1 or a Harley. With the '15's coming out here shortly what would be a good offer price?

I m guessing this is a 14 model, and as such dealers are looking for the highest possible price. So I would not offer a trade, did not sound like you were, and go in with kbb price with all options for this same vehicle. Also let them know you just got back from afghanistan, and get a veterans discount. Bottom line if they don't want to deal, find another dealer who will. You should be able to get it for $57-58,000 ish. Just my opinion. Also thanks for serving the country!!!! Welcome home!!!!

Andy, It is a 13 model. I saw it before I left a few months ago. It has the old taillights. The dealership knows I am a vet as I purchased my wife's Suburban from them in 2012.

I did look it up on kbb. It gave me a price of 56,785. Almost 6k off. Should I start with the kbb price or a little lower then work up to that?

I'd lead with the fact that it's a 13 model. It will help if it's the last day of the month. It won't hurt to mention that you just returned from Afghanistan. Definitely start below kbb.

Thanks for serving.

I was looking at a 13 ZL1 M6 fully loaded and since it's EOM I was able to get it down to 52k from 64k

you can get 2013 models in the mid $40's. I have found 2013 convertibles starting at $47k. Look on cars.com. :)

Thanks for the info guys. Hopefully everything goes smooth and I will be a Camaro owner. Not too bad for my first, lol.

ZL1's aren't selling very well so they should be willing to deal on it.

First of all, thanks for your service!
Go for the ZL1 this time and get the Harley later. When you put the deal together, make your dealership incorporates GM's active duty military incentive(s). I hope you're able to get the car; post pics when you get it! :thumb:

Best of luck, let us know how it works out...

$62,000??? No way! You can get that C7 Vette in your avatar for that. I paid $63,500 for mine. I agree with the earlier few posts. You should be looking at mid $40K range.

$62K for a 2013 ZL1? Am I missing something here or what??? :iono:

USMC Anti Venom 05-31-2014 09:36 PM

Bumblebee, you are not missing anything. They just haven't gone down on the price since it came out. I didn't get an email from them today so I have to wait until Monday to hear from them.
