Summit White on the SS "Interim Availabilty"?
 

I was checking the Chevy Camaro website and it said Summit White was "interim availabilty". Could I get this on the SS?

White is not currently an option

I would not mind a white w/ orange stripes and orange interior than. Why are they starting in July and could I order it now?

because in order to get that type of white they need to club baby abominable snow kids.
Sometimes it's hard to find them and so far they dont have neough.

You cannot order it now because it is not listed in the work bench system.

I guess you could stake your position at the dealership and order it once possible.

haha yeah they have to take large cargo ships to antartica to collect them which sometimes takes months at a time:laugh:

GM stated on the IDL that it will be available later because that is when they are going to be switching to Summit White on the Impalas too. They want to be able to paint only one white at the Oshawa plant. That is what Cheryl said on the IDL.:)

Is there any info on when they will be able to enter an order into the system for the white? I heard "availble July" but is that delivery or order or ???

Well, I guess it's kinda good that I'll be waiting a few more months (to save more $$). My first choice in color was white, but I would have been happy with Silver.

Waiting will allow me to get white.

Ordered an orange w/white stripes yesterday - originally I wanted White w/orange stripes. I just can't wait until July

Plus the CAFE standards make it harder to accomplish in an environmentally friendly manner.

I missed that part of the IDL on the reasoning but mdkyss response is logical. The 2009 Malibu is now the 50U Summit White (changed from the 40U White) so it does stand to reason a July date would coincide with the changeover to 2010 production for the Impala at Oshawa and thus the Camaro available in White also.
